"Pequeña Finca" means small farm — a fitting tribute to the small-scale producers behind this beautifully expressive coffee. Grown in Colombia’s revered Huila region, these lots come from family-owned farms averaging just 1.5 hectares. Here, coffee isn’t just a crop — it’s a legacy of craftsmanship, environmental care, and generational pride.
Bordered by the Central and Eastern Andes and nestled within the Magdalena Valley, Huila is responsible for 18% of Colombia’s coffee production. Despite this, most farms remain boutique operations, producing around 30 bags a year. Nearly all are equipped with their own wet mills, enabling meticulous processing and a laser focus on quality over quantity.
This region thrives on diversity — both in its climate and coffee genetics — producing vibrant, structured coffees with layered complexity. Farmers handpick cherries with multiple passes, fine-tune fermentation, and adapt drying methods based on seasonal and microclimatic changes. The result? A cup that speaks of care, precision, and deep agronomic knowledge.
Colombia’s Plan Huila 2050 ensures this future is sustainable, safeguarding native forests, water sources, and infrastructure for generations to come. Pequeña Finca is a curated collection of fully washed, sun-dried lots prepared to Excelso grade.
